Tyler was born in Santa Monica, California in 1991 and currently lives with his family in the Los Angeles area. His heritage is Irish, Scotch, English, Mexican and Native North American. He developed an early interest in the arts and began his acting career performing on stage with his actor/writer dad, at the age of six. He has worked steadily in both TV and film since the age of eight and, as a result, has traveled all over the U.S, Canada and Mexico. He has had the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of the most talented people in the business and has learned from them all.
TYLER STUFF YA DIDN'T KNOW.
When Tyler was first offered the role of "Mauro", the deaf mute son of Columbian terrorists in the film COLLATERAL DAMAGE, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the head-strong eight-year old responded by saying, "Why don't they find a real deaf mute?" Apparently, he wanted lines. He gave in after meeting Arnold.
TYLER won the role of "Ty", Jennifer Lopez' son, in the film MAID IN MANHATTAN after deciding, on his own, to sing an impromptu rendition of Simon and Garfunkle's "Me and Julio Down By the School Yard" for the producers.
He learned to speak "Lakota" for the role of "Gabe Wheeler" in the 2005 TNT mini-series INTO THE WEST.
TYLER speaks fluent "Canadian" after having spent three years shooting the television series "DOC" in Toronto, Ontario.
After watching a rerun of POINT BREAK, a film about four guys who rob banks wearing the masks of past U.S presidents, TYLER, at the age of six, became enamored with the Richard Nixon mask. He asked, or rather demanded, that he have one. He also had a habit of selling lemonade or Tang on his street corner to earn spending money. One day his parents came home, only to discover their three foot tall kid selling Tang, while inexplicably dressed in a three-piece suit and wearing his Nixon mask, which he never removed. Cars were backed up half a block away. He didn't really move a lot of Tang, but, upon returning home, he had so many quarters in his pockets, his pants almost fell down. Apparently, quite a few passersby paid a quarter just to get a closer look at the salesman.
Tyler is now on the ABC Family TV series "Lincoln Heights" playing the role of Andrew Ortega.
